Planning your Corporate Holiday Party

MASONRY LAYOUT

The weather may finally be hot, but if you’re in charge of planning your company holiday party, it’s time to start thinking about winter.  There’s a lot to consider, and venues are likely already booking for this year.  You’ll want to get started ASAP to ensure everything goes smoothly.

First, you’ll need to answer a few questions about the type of party you’re considering.  Is the party for employees only, or clients and guests as well?  Is the party company-wide, or for certain departments?  How casual or formal do you want to be?  You’ll want to make specifications about the dress code in the invitations so everyone is on the same page.

Now that you know what kind of party you want to have, you’ll need to set a budget.  Make sure it includes everything you may need, and speak with your boss about it to make sure your ideals are lines up.  Once you’re on the same page, you can move forward with setting your date and time.  Friday nights tend to be most popular, so there are a limited number of days available.  You’ll want to start calling possible venues right away.

Now that you have a venue and a date, you can start booking your entertainment.  Do you want a live band?  Jazz?  Top 40?  Rock?  There are endless possibilities.  Will you also need a photographer to capture special moments?  Will someone be receiving a meaningful award?  Is anyone retiring at the end of the year?

Once you have everything booked, you’ll need to promote your party and begin selecting and sending invitations.  Give your guests plenty of time to plan as the holidays can be a busy time for everyone.

When you’re ready to book your venue, give our event planners a call at 973-907-7750.  We’re ready to help you plan the party of the year.
